Last weekend was tip-top. We love performing up in Manchester but this time it was a little bit more special as the sold out ParkLife and Parklife after-party (AfterLife) awaited us.
After queuing for ages in the artist queue alongside a very nice chap called James Ford (from Simian Mobile Disco) we eventually got in through the green gates just in time for our set. We immediately climbed up and performed in the Tree house stage for the silent disco. This was a strange mixing experience but a lot of fun. It was slightly annoying that we were on at the same time as Mr Kissy Sell Out as he sucked a lot of people out of our arena and brought them over the main stage! However those below us sang along to the house classics that we decided to pump out.

Once our set was over we watched Booka Shade live (amazing) and the wishy washy Indie band the Friendly Fires. We then took the short trip across town to Sound Control to play alongside Mowgli & our good friends Jeuce and Oli Hackett. We love playing at Sound Control. The sound is amazing and the crowd always up for a good time. We performed to a packed club full of familiar faces many of whom had just graduated. The only sad point is that many of the graduates will of course leave the Manchester nest and we will not see up in Sound Control again (weep weep).
