The Sax Offender

The SaxOffender (Ed Norris) first started playing the Saxophone at the age of 8 under the guidance of his splendid music teacher Mr Wall.

He soon started to share his brothers passion for house & electro music and bought a pair of CDJs. Ed now runs a number of nights in Manchester including Drop the Mustard & Electofied at venues including Sankey’s, Sound Control & Zoo.

His skills as a Saxophonist have never been in question. However his Sax n FX sets have gained him great critical acclaim both as a Saxophonist and as a Live artist.

During a SMB Live set expect Ed to use both a classical Saxophone, a MIDI Saxophone, Ableton Live and a shed load of effect units to enhance the music.

Ed uses the Saxophone as a sound bank both when he is performing live and whilst in the studio. Some of the Samples we have to play with reak with awesomeness.The Boris Johnson song uses this (well disguised ) Sax riff throughout.
